An Open Letter to Porsha: Let Kordell Go So You Can Get to Happy

porsha

Dear Porsha,

You are a talented and fierce woman! Now, I know what is going on in your life is none of my business, but as a reality star your life is now public. I am not writing to judge you. But, it is my belief that as women we must build each other first rather than tear each other down. I want to empower you at this particular point in your life. Now is when you will need it most.

Like everyone else, I have heard the news about you and your hubby. To that news I say, to hell with him! I know you must be hurting, but I know that this is one of the best things that has ever happened to you. Girl do you know how exciting this time in your life will be once you move through the divorce and the pain. I’ve never been divorced, but I have been through a break up that hurt like hell!

Of course, it will be hard at first but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Truthfully, let Kordell go. If he can’t realize that he had a beautiful brown queen on his arm that was ready to be a mother who could do it all then shame on him.

What I want you to know at this time sistah is that you already have everything you need inside of you to live a kick ass life without him! As you go through this process of healing keep in mind that your dream life, and confidence will not be disrupted because one monkey don’t stop no show!

Girl, look inside of yourself and take this time to really get to know the real you, and re-evaluate where you want your life to go. You did make it clear you wanted to be happily married, start a family, and have a career. You don’t want anything that is different from most women.

Guess what, it is my hope that you are able to get all you want out of this life. Just don’t let him (you know who!) hold you back any longer. Go get what is yours Porsha. For one, you deserve it. For two, it is time you became the queen of your own castle, and realize you are the one you’ve been waiting for. Just when you least expect it your new king will arrive, and the next time around you will be wiser and more confident in your own abilities. This my friend, is when you will soar and come into your own even stronger than before!

Wishing you continued success and happiness,

T. Renee
