25 Ways Busy Women Can Relax, Refuel, and Release Stress

As women we are constantly on the move. Rarely do we slow down to enjoy ourselves and allow time for relaxation and rejuvenation. However, we all know the benefits of taking care of ourselves mentally, physically, and spiritually. Spending just 5 minutes a day focusing solely on you helps you to revive yourself and rest the parts of you that are in motion 24/7. Girl, you deserve some time to pamper yourself! Not only is self-care revitalizing to your mind, body, and soul, it is also another way of showing your body how much you love it and care about its well-being. As a busy woman you may not have the time to discover the many ways you can practice self-care. So, I’ve compiled a list for you to get to scheduling your beauty breaks, pamper me pretty sessions, and self-care parties that leave you feeling energized and excited about yourself and your life:

  1. Schedule a massage
  2. Soak in a bubble bath and play your favorite music
  3. Take a personal day from work and do something you love to do or just relax
  4. Get a babysitter (even if you have no plans of going out for the evening)
  5. Detox for a few weeks with plenty of greens and fruits, adopt a green smoothie habit to help you achieve this quicker
  6. Plan a getaway for one and enjoy peace and quiet or invite your girls or your honey to spice it up
  7. Book a session with a therapist to work through some challenges or trials in your life or join a support group
  8. Eat dessert every once in a while and don’t feel guilty
  9. Pick up a new hobby or revive an old one that you have let go off
  10. Try yoga to relax your mind and body or try Zumba to get your blood flowing and body pumping
  11. Talk a walk in your neighborhood or local park to clear your mind and get your body moving
  12. Read a good book that interest you, non-fiction to inspire you and fiction to ignite your imagination
  13. Let go of negative and toxic people in your life
  14. Schedule a pedicure and/or manicure and pick a beautiful color that pops
  15. Turn off social media, the internet, and the TV once in a while
  16. Treat yourself to a new hairstyle, haircut, or hair color
  17. Learn new ways to take care of your hair and make it more healthy and beautiful
  18. Pray and show your gratitude for the things that are going right in your life
  19. Cook or buy your favorite food or meal and enjoy every last bit of it (once in a while!)
  20. Enjoy a glass of your favorite wine after work to help you relax
  21. Ask for help when you know you are overloaded, overwhelmed, or overworked
  22. Learn to say NO to anything that does not serve you
  23. Keep in contact with your friends and plan regular outings to enjoy yourself in their company
  24. De-clutter your bedroom or your entire house, hire a cleaning service to help if necessary
  25. Make more time for rest in your schedule and try to get at least 6-7 hours of sleep per night

This list is just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many other ways for you to take care of yourself! Find what works best for you and make it happen. Regardless what you choose, select something that makes you happy and that brings you peace of mind. You deserve it and you are so worth it!
